Mother tongue is something that effects a person's thought in a sense that they think in mother tongue and express in English or second language (Johnston, 2007). In rural areas of the Pakistan, Multilingualism is a big issue for the interference of learning an English language. In accordance with the Fries (1945), native language intrusion purpose a chief trouble at the same time as getting to know a second, non-local language (L2). In rural regions of the Pakistan, Multilingualism is a large difficulty for the interference of studying an English language. The state of affairs of Pakistan isn't any extraordinary on this precise context in which someone is uncovered to a clump of harassed consecutive multilingualism (Sinha and Shastri,2006).
Saville_Trokie (2006) said that When we learn the second language: there is two different types of interferences occurs; positive and negative. In Positive transfer, the principles, rules, parameters and structures of mother tongue that speed up the learning of the second language but the several errors like syntax, morphological, and phonetical that produced negative effect (Odlin 1989). The research proposal explores the interference of mother tongue (Urdu) in second language (English) on the students of Okara.
