ACHIEVEMENTS AT ELEMENTARY LEVEL IN PAKISTAN: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

Parents are the prime source of children’s education and development from birth to adulthood. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of parent’s involvement on students study habits at elementary level. The sample of the study was 100 students of private schools and 100 their parents. Two questionnaires were used as instruments in this study. On the basis of data analysis, it was found that parents contribute an important role in developing study habits in their child. They are fundamental contributors to their child success. There is a significant effect and relationship of parental involvement on student’s study habits. The result shows that parent’s are more involve in their child school homework, school activities and encourage them. It is recommended that the parents should keep an eye upon students’ learning habits in order to foster their children learning habits and their overall development in the life.
