Abstract

The guidelines provided by Qur'an and Sunnah are the main subject of this study, which examines Islamic views on the care and welfare of children who are either divorced or widowed. Complete guidance on financial and social duties for such children is provided by the Prophet ﷺ and the Qur'an, the primary source of Islamic law. This study focuses on the Qur'an and hadiths that emphasize the responsibility of society, parents and guardians to protect and treat children fairly. This paper, taking into account the various interpretations of Islamic scholars, considers how different concepts are used in child care both historically and in the present. This study emphasizes the unwavering commitment of Islam to uphold the rights and dignity of the children of divorce and widows, promoting divinely ordained laws and customs in the modern age.
