Abstract

This paper looks at the fundamental ideas that form the basis of religion and are shared by all prophets, from Prophet Adam (A.S.) to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Fundamentally, religion is the propagation of these universal truths that eliminate divisions and bring people together. Given that all Prophets communicated the same heavenly call, their common message emphasises the importance of respect between all religious traditions. The author makes the case that mutual tolerance for religious beliefs, peace, and security are essential to humanity's existence and advancement. It highlights how important it is to accept other viewpoints in order to prevent violence, strife, and injustice. Islam's teachings support this understanding and caution against abandoning interfaith tolerance, citing terrible incidents such as the Jaranwala incident as only one example. This article provides an overview of these problems and suggests fixes based on Pakistani law and Islamic teachings.
