Abstract

The concept of "Rahmat al-lil-Alamin" (Mercy to the Worlds) as embodied by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ plays a pivotal role in the establishment of global peace. This research explores the profound implications of the Prophet's merciful character and actions in promoting harmony and justice across different cultures and societies. The term "Rahmat al-lil-Alamin" signifies the inclusive nature of the Prophet's mercy, extending beyond Muslims to encompass all of humanity. This concept is deeply rooted in Islamic teachings, with numerous examples from the Prophet's life illustrating his commitment to peace and reconciliation. The study examines key historical events such as the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and the Conquest of Makkah, demonstrating how the Prophet ﷺ's actions provided practical models for resolving conflicts and fostering international cooperation. Additionally, the research highlights the relevance of the Prophet's teachings in contemporary global contexts, emphasizing how his principles of mercy, forgiveness, and justice can address current international disputes and contribute to a more peaceful world order. The research underscores the importance of applying the Prophet's teachings to modern diplomatic and intercultural interactions. It calls for the adoption of principles derived from the Prophet's life to enhance interfaith dialogue, promote justice, and support sustainable peace efforts.
